Ben W. Fitznar
CEO and co-founder of R.E.I.D.

Having spent 25 years in the marine transportation and hospitality industries, Ben’s entrepreneurial spirit took him to Merida in 2004. Here he started the hotel Villa Merida, a boutique hotel in downtown Merida. Recognizing the need for information required by foreign investor, the complications of the Mexico’s financial and legal system, R.E.I.D. was founded in early 2007.

Ernesto Arranaga Patron
Corporate and Real Estate Attorney

Until recently, Ernesto was the legal manager of the Ernst &Young Cancun office. His formal education began in Merida at the Universidad del Mayab. Upon graduating he secured a government position with the Merida tax court. He received his masters degree in International tax law from the University of Salamanca in Spain. At present he is the Manager, President, CEO, Director (pick one) of Inter Lex Mexico, a foreign investment and corporate real estate firm.

Grace Cameron
Realtor and Property Manager

Grace started her career in banking and for 10 years worked with one of Canada’s largest charter banks, the Bank of Montreal, as a loans and mortgage manager. The next 23 years were spent with Royal Lepage Real Estate Ltd. in sales, earning and maintaining a position as one of the top 5% in Canada. Grace also handled property management within her client portfolio. In 2003, she and her husband moved to Merida and continued in the Real Estate sales business. In 2007, Grace started a successful property management company servicing Merida and surrounding area.
